Their environment is getting really kinda suffocating.
Imagine being known by everybody just cause you all share the same ethinicity and are in a foreign place. They know your name, friends, family, and history. They know you, but not really. They just know about you.
Its annoying. No wonder they are all at pins and needles everytime they are surrounded by each other. Rumors and other things can easily spread around in small circles like that.
Dont get me wrong tho, havig a communty who shares the same culture or even a bit of the same history with you has its comforts especially when youre in another country with a HUGE cultural difference but its also a double edged sword.
As someone who grew up with 2 different cultures, this manga hits close to home when portraying that kind of suffocation.
