Not that I disagree with u. But if 2 people are drunk but still have the capacity to understand what's going on and are not completely wasted that they literally don't know what's going on, then for me it's fine. They should be able to check in every once in a while to ask if it's ok, and if one party says no midway, the other party should stop. I feel like drunk sex is fine if consent can still be given and understood. On the other hand, if one party is too drunk to know what's going on or too drunk to give consent in their right mind and the other party takes advantage of that... I feel that's wrong. I can't tell in this situation tho, I'd personally just avoid doing things if I'm not sure and just take care of them till they sober up.

Ok but how can you measure when someone is completely wasted vs drunk and ok? How can you put that into legislation? A lot of people would take advantage of such a thing and justify their rape by saying "Oh but he looked like he was ok and not completely wasted". Even for you yourself, if you are drunk and the other person is drunk even if you're not completely wasted your judgement is clouded. Neither would be wiser to be able to check if the other person is fine with it or to be able to give consent. That'll just lead to regret. You cannot measure things by "too drunk" or "little drunk" cause that's subjective. You are either sober or intoxicated.

Fair point. Once your judgment is clouded you end up doing stuff you really wouldn't do even if you think you know what you're doing. I know cuz I'm the type that gets really "bold" when intoxicated. I just brought up this topic cuz well this kinda thing happens a lot and some people even use this as an excuse to justify their actions like, "sorry I can't remember I was drunk". And after that the issue is swept under the rug cuz most people don't think it's wrong. Like it's a normal thing. I know this topic is quite controversial. Just wanted to know if people believed in a "middle ground", but your argument convinced me. I don't think there is a "middle ground" to this.
Tis fiction and they're a cute couple but remember that having sex in real life with a drunk/intoxicated person is rape even if they're your significant other.
