I think because it's a historical story. These kinds of things were normal. In that period of time money and state were everything. For example, if we see the Mc as a killer in historical manhwa we won't hate it -just like what happened in a lot of webtoons -. On the other hand, if we see the MC in a modern story as a killer, we will see him as a dirty killer.
What I mean to say it won't be something strange for them to fall in love. Especially in that period of time, SH considers being too kind toward such a lowborn.
it kinda bothers me but what the hell means the rape is romanticised because everyone is so angry about that and i still havent seen romance between them at all , Namkyun hasnt shown love at all towards Seungho it was only Seungho that became softer i mean i dont hope they fall in love because rape happened , its the other cute moments that make me confused
