Tbh I think it depends. Some people want to be loved until their last moment. Some people dont want to burden their loved ones by their death.
I think what he did was brave. If he understood the reason why she refused him, surely he knew the consequences of his question. But to him, it is worth asking her than regret not asking.
P/s : I also find this kind of decisions to be very difficult to make. No matter what I choose, none seems to be the correct answer. :')
I like his character but its a bit cruel to ask her if he's allowed to love her when she thinks she will die any moment. She tried so hard to be ready to die but its making it hard for her. But still he was so hot and cute i thought i was gonna die
