Well, the original novel is by Betty Neels, so entitled jerks getting their come-uppance isn't going to happen. The nasty fiancée having her engagement broken off is the height of cruelty for one of her stories. At least the doctor was English in this one instead of a billionaire Dutch doctor.
So her mom is an entitled bitch, that's all I've got for you on her.
The story is surprisingly good for a halequine (buchert that) manga
