I feel like sometimes authors reduce the intelligence of characters to fit plot points. Since leaving the shit-rado house, every move Leslie has made has been calculated and smart so it's very unlike her to send away her guards just because they might have offended someone she used to know in the past. Like at this point, she definitely knows better. But hey, plot is plot.
