It isn't uncommon for people to believe the words of others. It literally could've just started as a crush, but the people around her fed her the idea, and now she thinks that he does like her. If she had confessed, we have no idea how it would go.
She just wanted to confess, and had too much confidence in the answer. Like bottom line, sometimes it ain't that deep until the author makes it so lol.

First and foremost her reasoning for confessing is fucked up and guess what had Ye Ruchuan rejected her she would have probably turned into some crazy stalker chick.
