In a sense, you could say Tk2 is taking a big risk adding Huse. Even though they are adding more fire power, Huse doesn't have absolute respect for Osamu like Chika and Yuma, so there are serious chain of command issues. On top of that, they're not used to working with Huse, so being off balance in the middle of a rank war with very little prep could've ruined everything.
On top of that, 4 person strategies are tricky to plan because in a traditional team set up you have one ace and two support. It's straightforward and easy to plan because the base plan doesn't need to change too often.
But with a team of four the question becomes how to split forces. Do you have your second ace back up your first and have all your attention on one location (and does that weaken your advantage of having a second ace)? Do you split into mini teams and have only one support per ace? Do you go for 3 supports or standard form and an all rounder? Does the fourth person become a support if a support bails and an ace when an ace bails? At any given moment the base formation could change, which allows for adaptability, but also confusion if they don't train for it. Adding Huse could've just as easily ended up in smoke, but Tk2 were up against a wall and had to drastically change things.

Lol, it's the point of rank wars to push teams to improve for invasions and make it so all teams are aware of each other's capabilities? If you're constantly studying your fellow teams for strengths and weaknesses to defeat them, you'll have a much better idea of how they can be utilized when you need to work together. That's why everyone at Boarder seems to be hyper aware of everyone's talents. Obviously, if Huse and Yuma paired with black triggers they'd be unstoppable, but they can't use those during rank wars. It's a bit of a long game until they perfect the teamwork, but it'll be good.
On the flip side, Huse may be an ally, but he's not their friend. If he turns on then when they go to Aftocrater, he'll have intimate knowledge on how TK2 strategies and could take them down while TK2 has to figure out how to operate again without a fourth member.
The fight scenes are awesome but I'm still uncomfortable about the fact that the last 2 battles were 4 vs 3 vs 3 vs 3
