It's true that manhwa aren't always the same as the novel.
I read the novel in Chinese on a chinese website. But now that group of translators has removed the novel. I didn't actually quite get to the final ending as well, but I think I was close.
Spoil Alert!!!
So based on the novel I have read:
-that great magician Athy grows up with is the magician of the great tower
-he fixed the king's problem by giving him a branch of the Great Tree (Remember why he was gone for so many chapters? He went to seek the fruits of that Great Tree, but then all the fruits are gone, so......)
-in the novel, Athy is never rlly close with Jeantte. So I don't know what's going to happen in the manhwa
-her father still loves and cares her deeply.
