Probably the scars will stay, but the severing of The bond was really painful according to this manga. Some omegaverse manga (i forgot the title, but it’s here in mangago) story about alpha with several omegas and the alpha is the only one that can disconnect the bond absolutely painless, but there is a sense of loss that comes with it. Some fanfic i’ve read had the omegas go almost insane when their partners have died or have abandoned them.
What happens with the mark once the bond is severed the other omegaverse I have read don't talk about it.. Anyway I loved the story I loved how they both were able to be happy.
