Guuuurll, I kept crying for more than a week after seeing the anime ending. I just can't accept that ending and I will never accept it. Ash suffered so so much and after all the shit he went through he doesn't even get a happy ending?

I remember and understand now why they didn't make another extra video or why they didn't animate "Garden of Light", it was because:
1. The director didn't want to change anything as a respect to the mangaka.
2. If they ever animated "Garden of Light", they would completely confirm Ash's death.
It makes so much sense now, especially with Ash limping in the snow because when Ash went to the library, it was still relatively brighter outside but in the video where he was limping, the sky was already darker which means he did get out fo the library and most likely SURVIVED. Ater finishing the anime, I was desperate in finding any information that would say Ash is alive. It’s heartbreaking to have to come to terms with the fact that he really is dead. But I still can’t understand why he couldn’t even get an ounce of happiness. He was going to go to Japan with Eiji and they were going to die happily together, yet Ash dies all alone in that library. It breaks my heart. I just wanted Ash to be able to live with Eiji and have a life filled with love. I haven’t stopped crying for the past 30 minutes... I just can’t bring myself to move on. They both deserved so much more. But I don’t hate the ending for some reason. It was an ending that made the most sense. Just like Ash said, he would bring danger to Eiji no matter what. I just wish Ash would’ve gotten to see Eiji one last time before dying...
