just finished reading all of tokyo ghoul and :re since the anime left something to be desired and I wasn't disappointed. I am kind of confused at why the ending of :re seemed a bit rushed though, I wish the author could have included some information on how the ghouls and humans got on right after the 'war'. Although, all together I think that the ending was near perfect as it gave detail into what happened to them after they settled down from the 'war'.
A part of me wishes that they could have all ended up with a significant other as well, but I guess this isn't really a romance ..

From what u know ishida began to get tired if writing and lost the UMPH he originally had for the work (im mean who wouldn't he been doing it for 7 years) and near the end of the series he gave himself a 6 month time limit to wrap up everthing within the manga and cocluding it. After the conclusion of the story he wrote a note about how he had been stressed from writing the series and wasnt necessarily happy with how it ended but it was hard for him to continue it so he was at least happy it came to a conclusion. He noted how it had become harder and harder to write and draw and the deadlines where stressing him out. His art is well drvelooed and extremely pleasing and you can tell he put alot of time into each chapter so it become hard for him to do this every week, from what i know thats why the ending feels rushed.

Jskfksf sorry i hope that makes sense

Don’t worry about the typos, it made perfect sense to me. Thank you for explaining about why the author seemed to have rushed the ending and now I feel guilty for wanting more knowing that he was so stressed out from writing it. However, I am great full that he finished it because some authors don’t even finish their works sometimes due to the stress. <3 thank you again for explaining x
