I actually like the princess. Yes, she is self serving, but it think it is due to her childhood, not bc she is necessarily a bad person. She is rather ignorant of the harm to the servant her actions are causing bc for her, allowing a servant to be a consort is a big privilege, since the servant gets to live an easy life now.
