Merlin, the Demon King of Pride is voted out by the demon perliament elders due to him not performing his job the way they want him to.
He journeys on to "live a more normal life" which absolutely does not happen, as he is crazy strong and keeps running into the ex-hero he beat beforehand. They develop some weird kind of friend/love/hate relationship that is comedic relief.
But there is more to the reason why he wishes to travel...
