It's not that. Derrick favorability went up in chapter 8 after their conversation where she called Derrick 'young master' instead of 'brother'. It showed that his favorability went up after Penelope ran away from him
Yes but it was still in the negatives when they parted but after they met again it went higher than when it first went up
