Lol, this is a late reply but, I'm asian, and this is not an asian thing. Asians still dont like being in a relationship with blood relatives, or at least koreans.
I am also "asian". U don't have a monopoly on "Asian". Also, non-sibling incest is quite common in most asian history. Back then, they used to call it keeping bloodline pure.
As long as u don't marry within the family (as in ur immediate siblings, paternal uncle/first cousins etc) it was fine. Like cousins on ur mother's side, father's sister's side are not considered as YOUR blood because they fall into a different family tree.
Even now, in india, it's legal for first cousins to marry as long they are not paternal first cousins (archiac law from begone British Raj) (my aunt's brother married his maternal first cousin and it's legal, so it still happens but is extremely rare)
