I mean we don't see anything from the time muzan died to modern Tokyo so there would have been ample time for him to have developed feelings for someone. Not to mention that while he didn't have any interest in relationships through the show it wouldn't have really made sense if he did, I mean you're fighting demons on a daily basis and trying to save your sister so ya romance won't be the first thing on your mind but once it's all over and you can relax and enjoy life it would be a common thing for your mind to turn to. And considering the era it would have been expected for him to settle down and father a family. Plus it causes no harm to the store thusfar.
I would understand but Tanjiro didn't need to be with Kanao as they barely interacted and didn't have any interest of her. I rather have him to be interesting for someone else that he actually falls for instead of being forced to. He didn't need to get married and have kids.
Tanjirou and kanao probably interacted more after the war ending, i don't think anyone force him lol besides almost everyone in tanjirou's era are getting married at young age,even yoriichi, it's just their culture especially in their traditional age.. your statement about him doesn't have to get married and have kids is too modern for taniirou

There was no purpose or reason for Tanjiro to get married with Kanao. Not every main character need to get married and end up having their own family. I can tell this was rushed and kinda force. Tanjiro didn't really need to marry Kanao or marry anyone at all. What will make it purpose of him to marry Kanao instead of him being single or marrying someone else like Inosuke did (no he did not marry Aio). Tanjiro didn't have any love interested as all he wanted is to save his sister and nothing more. This is so much like Naruto and Bleach. I would rather have the character to be single and not force to be marry to someone he wasn't even interested at first. Tanjiro is a sweet boy that doesn't even think of having someone to be with in his life. I have feeling this was kinda force and I don't think the author wanted Tanjiro to end up getting married and just be single. Through out the manga Tanjiro didn't have a love interested as this was a bit unfair to have him to marry someone he didn't had feelings for as he suddenly did. This is a bit un-call for to have him to marry and have kids with someone instead of being single.
