Yeah fleet foxes. My ex introduced me to that song. He’d sing it and dance around with sour little girl. It’s when I stopped hating him. If u like that song you should try “for real” by okkveril river. It’s less folky but has, idk a somewhat similar vibe. It’s one of my all time fav songs. But watch the vid the first time you listen to it. It gives a lot more meaning to it. Makes it feel more....I can’t explain. But it’s like how watching Johnny Cash’s cover of Nine Inch Nails Hurt with the video is this incredible experience that you can’t get with just the song. Except I like the song for real more then hurt so it’s awesome just listened to as well. And the Johnny cash video is a more visceral experience. A heartbreaking look at someone whose at the end of their life. Especially knowing his wife died right after and within mos of her death, he was gone. A legends life broken down to mins. His regrets and his sorrow for his past actions.

I just like muisc that paints pictures in my head and for real is a great one for that. Don’t really like their other stuff, it’s a bit to hipster for my tastes. But For Real is an angsty masterpiece and I will never stop singing the praises of. Just remembered some ppl found it trigging bc of the self harm implied. in the storyline. Just FYI.
