Man, in the first place, I stuck to this story like a glue was because of Athy and her budding relationship with her father. Jeanette was someone I was tolerating whenever she was present. Sure she's a cute kid but I've already seen too many white lotus MCs that honestly, Jeanette's naive and innocent personality trait doesn't endear me one bit.
The moment this story decided to throw off to the void the main reason why many people loved this webtoon was the moment people started hating on Jeanette.
Yes that hate is unreasonable but because Jeanette basically represent a wall preventing Athy and Claude to become family again is why so many of us just wants her gone. As in, completely wiped from the story because she offers nothing but unecassary drama with just her very existence.
People might say--"oh but Jeanette is spicing up this story! Stop hating on her" Sure, tell that to thousands of readers who literally wants her offed. We used to tolerate Jeanette, some might've even liked her. But because of this mini plot, that tolerance is completely gone.
