all the monsters were allusions. The students would most likely only 'die' within that allusion and be fine afterward, but they wouldn't have passed the test and not graduate. That is what I got from that situation.
I hope so. Otherwise this world is a lot more dark than the story and characters make it out to be.

So this graduation test is dangerous enough that you could get killed. And it was apparently normal that in the past groups would at least have some "casualties". A graduation test from school where it's normal that at least some students die. Yet they're acting like there's nothing wrong with that. They just gloss over the fact that a school lets students die every graduation test, and accept it.
My question is, what the fuck? Tests are supposed to be simulations to see if you're ready for actual mortal danger. How the fuck is everyone just okay with this?
