I kind of wish this story was more about evolving love and not holding on to previous love. Being able to grow as a person and knowing that even though you love each other it doesn't always work out. To find someone when you least expect it and realize they're your rock. It was kind of there but it felt like any growth she had was stunted by her need to be with her first love Ryo. I get that some loves you just can never forget about but I wanted it be a journey of working through that. Some elements were there but I felt like it fell short. Honestly I wanted Amaya to be the one she could see herself being with. I feel like the author started to make him a bit more bad of a guy so when she went back to Ryo it would be justified. I'm okay with the ending. Everything was resolved however I do feel regret for where it could have gone. And takaido was pretty much thrown under the bus. At least Amaya got to sleep with her but taikaido was literally there to support every step/ saw her for who she was and he got blueballed so hard. I was hoping taikaido or Amaya were end game but unfortunately it didn't go that way. Still a good read, kept me entertained. 3.5/5
