the thing is she doesnt know he's already a villian. Actually, it's still a little too soon to say he is a villian (He is cruel for sure tho). She is obsessed with preventing him to become one bc that is literally her goal. Even if she learns the truth, i bet she will still choose to stop ain from drinking poision. Her decision won't change bc of her goal. That is for ain to have a "normal" childhood.
I really wish the author didnt reveal ain's real personality until later, so that more readers will have the same point of view as the female lead. That way we will become more sympathetic with her.

I get what you're saying but the problem is she already know the story and choose to only focus on changing Ain, letting aside the family position in the nobility (being the emperor's hand through generations), with that the family tradition "psychopaths" and the threats Ain is under for which he needs to prepare. She's suppose to know all of that or mostly but she still selfishly and naively imposed her ways without prior thinking and that's what I'm upset about.

She doesnt know the backstory tho. If i remember correctly, the novel she read is when Ain is already a grown-up. He is the villain in that novel and the reason why he became a villain is bc his step-mother abused him. The webtoon we are reading right now is before the actual novel starts. That's why she thought that as his step-mother (as the cause of him being a villain in the future), she just needs to give him a loving childhood for him to grow up to be a "normal" person. She is not perfect for sure, but it's also bc she doesnt care about other stuff since her one and only goal is for Ain to not become a villain and meet a tragic end by loving him and giving him the best childhood.
She’s a little.. obsessed
