Apparently someone else said they do get together at the end, you just have to be patient. Like that person said, this story is accurate to the time period. Hell, even as a child Pauliana got sent off to die in a war by her own father! You've stuck around this long. Just keep at it.
Read the spoilers and I hate the how the story progresses I was so excited for this one because it's different. I guess it's too different to my taste as well. gonna drop this early to protect my heart from getting broken.
