Unpopular opinion

I understand why everyone is so hard on the MC but I think it's undeserved. I agree that Ain's training is important, especially since refusing to become immune to poisons could threaten Ain's life in the future. But his mental state could also be a threat to his life. I don't think the MC is as oblivious as you all think. It's true that she should adopt more of the customs of her current world and be more accepting of it's cultural differences but don't forget that Ain grows into a twisted, horrible person who is capable of murder in the future. Yes, he's already quite twisted, but that's due to being exposed to different forms of abuse at a young age. You guys are thinking about Ain in terms of "anime logic" because he seems like an adult in a kid's body. But our MC is from our world, and a childcare professional no less. She's looking at Ain from a realistic perspective. She may be unaware of how twisted he has already become but she still knows what she's doing. Ain's dad's heart is in the right place with his training but it doesn't change the fact that it is emotional and physical abuse. As a victim of abuse himself, Ain's dad doesn't know the difference. The MC's role in this story is very important for healing both Ain and his dad. She can't erase the trauma but at the very least she can help them work through it. Love and compassion is something that that family is very starved of.

if you think her looking at Ain has "an angel with no sins" is "realistic perspective" I have nothing to say to you other then you wrong about it. she is not realistic or logical at all ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ she just in her fantasy world.

My mom thinks my ugly ass is beautiful and even though I am in no way perfect she still treats me like I am. Most parents think their children are angels, have you never met a Karen?

I think it's realistic for the MC in the context of her being a mother. And realistically, a kid Ain's age really would be innocent, the MC isn't foolish just because she is ignorant of his true nature that has been hidden from her.

first of all even if it is true, it's not a better or "realistic view" of them or even healthy. spoil brats are not happy, trust me. second, you don't have to be so biased to show you love your child. yeas you can love them, but still know all their bad traits and accept it.
I disagree since the MC is not the real mother of the child anyway and she comes from the modern world which is even more reason it's not really realistic for her to be sooo biased to him. it just weird and kind of fuck up in a way.
she is very ignorant if she think every child in the wrong is an angel!
