Rape doesn't necessarily have to be violent. It doesn't matter that she was initially attracted to him at first, she didn't give 100% consent for him to kiss her after she blacked out, or for him to take her to the motel. At the end of the day, he used his sobriety against her as she was drunk and in no condition to give consent which is not ok. I completely agree that he is is a scumbag who manipulated her.

Just to clarify, what you said is rape. Manipulating someone to have sex with you when they are unsure is classified as Date Rape. It’s not throwing the word around. He pressured her into having sex with him. Rape does not have to be violent. I should know because I experienced this, and I hope that you now know you are not fully educated about the subject. Your definition of rape is only one part of the spectrum. Please, take the time to read up on Date Rape.

Please look up the word violent. I think you guys are assuming I meant it as aggressive, which I did not. I know I am not fully educated on the subject, which is why I am not casually throwing it around. I am also aware of date rape, and it still wasn’t the case here. There was no intimidation and, while she may still be a bit drunk, she was still able to give consent for the act (not the initial kiss). She sobered up a bit when they went to the hotel. She didn’t just wake up then finding out they had sex.
Rape is not a spectrum. There is no mild rape or strong rape. Rape is rape. You guys shouldn’t throw a heavy word like that so casually. I also never stated what my actual definition of rape is...since I was the one asking what everyone’s definition of it was...

i agree with you, she actually did sobered up. and she just said no because she thinks they shouldnt be doing that cause they arent together. he was very pushy, but if she 100% didnt want to do it, she could have slapped him and walked away which she didnt. and she doesnt seem to regret it afterwards either. i wouldnt say he raped her..
To the people saying it is rape... Curious what your definition of rape is?
She did say no at first but it wasn’t a violent no. She was attracted to the sunbae too. It was more like a soft no.
I don’t think he raped her, BUT i do think he manipulated her. He is a scumbag fuccboi for sure.
Rape is more violent and the victim is either unconscious or completely rejecting the idea. It might be in the grey area though because she was drunk, but he didn’t force himself. He just manipulated her to get consent....still a dick move though.
