Don’t worry I’m a lesbian and I still prefer yaoi simply because the stories they have r generally more interesting. Not to say there aren’t amazing yuris tho, u just gotta keep looking for good titles!
i don't like yaoi at all (since im not attracted to men so stories about only males aren't interesting to me) however i will admit that yaoi's have more good stories BECAUSE its a more popular tag so ofc there are gonna be more good webtoons/fullcolor/interesting storylines. Yuri is popular but def not as popular hence why there are less good ones. wish it wasn't so tho ugh
She may be just reading it for the plot or universal same-sex couple experiences. For example, liking a straight friend trope, or unrequited love. I know I stumbled upon yaoi first before I realized that same-sex attraction was a thing. I guess it's like watching a romance movie about a straight couple, but not necessarily relating to it.
If you don't like something, you should never force yourself to change your preferences. It's okay to not like something!

Haha yeah I’m sure lolol I’m extremely picky w what yaoi I read and I’m usually disappointed when they redraw dicks cuz I find them unappealing LMAOOO. I like yaoi th same way I like straight romance it’s just to enjoy romance in general despite gender. Also drawings r defff different from real life so it’s why I find it more appealing
