people be reacting as if centuries ago royalty took care of their own children.... guys, this is how nobles worked, especially if they were royalty, they didn’t have enough time (and they didn’t even care) to raise their children. also having mistresses was normal. since it’s a story based on a time where all those things were normal, characters are obviously going to think that way. so the fact that the emperor actually cares about the twin is already something huge. remember how claude didn’t even care when athy almost drowned ? i think this emperor is quite nice in comparison
