Well... Characters are ink. They're pretty much the fruit of an author's imagination, usually an idealisation. You also get to be closer the a character by seeing their POV, something you can't do in real life. Their features are drawn to be attractive. You know, reasons like that :P. You probably haven't found the ''good one'' or you're too picky and can't see partners as imperfect humans. That is what I think at least.

More than likely because a character can fulfill a fantasy. They can be perfect or their flaws can be seen as endearing. A real person won't feel the same. You also don't have control over what they say/do/feel when you act a certain way. Fictional characters can fulfill fictional romance.

Yep yep, it's also easier to be in love with someone/a character you can't attain. The idea of love can become desilusional and ideal because of that.

Basically, you can stay at the stage of blind attraction and let your imagination run wild without having to go with the ups and downs that come in a relationship with an imperfect human.

Actually because of yaoi i sometimes find random part of a guy's body to be hot like hands and back..sometimes in yaoi they mention how they find those parts to be incredibly sexy and i become conscious of that in real life ..xD

@Zocris
LOL I can totally relate to that xD

It's okay I prefer some animated guys over real ones to. Their like your ideal guy.i also fell for superboy. I prefer most of the anime guys in bleach oh so sexy.so it's not weird, not at all.

hmnnnn.. i think i'm only attracted to yaoi characters... and i'm not sure if that makes me asexual in reality lol

Because when you go home at the end of the day, he's all yours.
(please note my bitterness, I am an extremely bitter person)
guys i have a serious question why is it that i am attracted to fictional characters and not real men? is it weird? i like primps and some yaoi characters and recently i was watching young justice (DC nation) and i severely fell for super boy especially when he took off his shit (Drooool)
