You do know this isn’t an opinion. This is giving future readers the heads up they won’t get from the missing tag and those praising this plot to be bothered pointing this simple fact out. Not everyone wants to read another rape to love plot, there’s nothing wrong with that, as much as nothing wrong if you choose to do read it as well

That was my bad. I normally leave content warnings on the first page, and I think I didn't communicate the original dialogue properly, but the sex is consensual and their further encounters are consensual as well. Makabe is kind of role-playing, so to speak, and his dirty talking is more to play towards Ukishima's masochism rather than literal assault.

It’s no worries. Unless this was poorly translated which I doubt, the language here still implies this was rape. The uke requests to stop prior to being penetrated and physically assaulted. What’s happening here is unfortunately the typical bsdm/ sadomasochism equals rough sex automatically. The uke can be a masochist and enjoy being degraded of course but he’s specially put in a vulnerable position that’s then equated as just fulfilling the requirements of his kink by a stranger abusing him. You can overlook this as a fictional explanation for why the characters wouldn’t care to define it as rape, but as an onlooker it’s incorrect to not see that this is in fact rape.

If they engage in sex later that’s an entirely different story but this specific sexual encounter is rape.

it's not rape at this point. The uke wanted to have sex with seme and loved every second of it. It was just very rough and animalistic... But maybe there will be rape in the nexts chapters I don't know.

nevermind me, I re read the chapter and the uke did say he didn't want seme to touch him and that he didn't want to have sex. So it was rape, though uke loved it. You were right.

We have a seme verbally confirm he’s enjoying “raping” the uke, an uke who’s voiced protest at some point, and no point verbal consent is administered. I’m not going to argue about people who enjoy this kink but it’s getting so tiring educating people on what is and isn’t rape just because it’s placed in a fictional setting and that’s specific reader isn’t bothered by the depiction. It’s this type of miseducation that actually bothers me more so because it’s specially using sadomasochism so incorrectly and many people who a limited understanding of it are using the standard framework of yaoi to equate this was reciprocal sex because it again met the main character’s sexual fetish. The character can enjoy the rape it’s not even a question but he’s being raped.

That makes perfect sense to me. I don't know how I didn't see it that way, as someone who's normally pretty woke about this sort of thing. Damn, I really wish I could go back and edit in a warning, but these sites are really hard to work with...

And I don’t fault you. I’m grateful you translated all the same. I just wanted people to be aware because I’m personally tired of reading BL and being confronted with yet another rape to love narrative. The entire top BL on this site all contain sexual violence. It defines the genre but that’s not the case for every single plot out there so it makes it helpful for someone like me to avoid or should I decide to choose to read regardless if there’s a preemptive warning. Mangago relies on readers to this themselves so missing tags or incorrect tags are the norm if most readers are uncaring of being triggered.Especially when lacking sexual education. But seriously thank you for translating. Wasn’t my intention to start a argument but rather a discussion.

No, unfortunately, according to M/ang/aupd/ates. If there is, I'll issue a takedown notice.
