I think he was just beautiful, not because he is a foreigner but because his face is handsome (race doesn't really matter when it comes to beauty i guess)

and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it's a matter of taste at the end

Im not just noting this manga... alot of managas... if they are white or mixed they are automatically beautiful...

It's beauty standards. Anyone with paler skin is considered a "beauty." It's why geisha's and whatnot dress their faces with white makeup. Fair skin is considered beautiful.

Yea i understand... i just wished asians features were praised more... i love their almond eyes and perfect lips... but you never hear about that in mangas...

this is not just the case in manga. these beauty standards translate from real life. my friend's white af and she's got naturally red hair and freckles and every time she's in japan, the people there are (respectfully) all over her lol. maybe it's got something to do with... idk... you know, asians see asians every day? just like i see white people every day. i think white people are ok looking? but when i see people of color i'm always like??? wow??? they're so much prettier???

I guess that makes alot of sense... or atleast i would like this to be the case... and not media brainwashing... u hear about it alot in the states but i didnt really know if that translated in other countries but then reading manga i was like so people think this way everywhere?? But im hoping your explanation is correct... i am mixed so i see both blacks n whites everyday... maybe thats why i feel neutral either way on beauty standards
