Well, the mother wanted the empress seat that’s why he approached the emperor and bear his children, but despite bearing his children, she was still not able to claim the seat because of her low status. In order to keep his children alive, he accepted the contract. The mother was not human, I forgot what she was called but she’s somewhat like a supernatural or magical being which makes them feels close to nature like that, so the contract that they went into was something like a magical contract and cannot be broken or there will be consequences, I just don’t know what the consequences are, I guess it’s the children’s lives T.T . The guardians are connected to the emperor’s royal bloodline, so because the emperor entered that contract, the guardian was also forbidden to be close to the twins.
