Hmm. Maybe you're not the only one, but I just want to point out something about all/most of the characters being homo. You're reading shounen ai/BL, so most of the characters are basically gay. I mean, there are other BL that have straights as side chacters which is cute. But my point here is that, shounen or any other genre of romance who focuses on straights mostly don't have a homo couples. That is because it's a straight's story. If other romance with straights show little to none homo couples, most people don't mind but if a BL have mostly homo characters others have something to say. My main poiny here is that, if you're reading a BL of course the author would focus the characters as homo. The percentage of straight people that are actually friends with homos are slim (or maybe almost half now, idk) As for the story line, I'm just a bit disappointed with Mafuyu. I hope he'll sort out his feelings, and will give love more to Uenoyama. That's all. Lol. HAHAHAHA

I get that. However (and I'll point this out with any story that follows this trope) it makes no sense for people to be prejudiced about gay people if everyone is gay. That would be like people hating people for being straight in the real world, right? If being gay is the norm in this world, then the existed of homophobia itself makes no sense. I read this a while ago so I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure there was a part that dealt with prejudiced attitudes. Like, with a story that deals strongly with human emotion and real topics, using homophobia as a main plot point would be even more interesting (seeing how characters deal with that) instead of making everyone gay, right?
As for your point about Mafuyu, I definitely agree. I really wish this story would focus on him moving on but the boy really isn't even trying to at this point. I understand that he's upset (obviously) but his actions are causing other people pain. If he wasn't ready for a relationship then he should break of with Ue instead of putting him through all his shit.

Uhh, no?
I didn't mean to say that their world is solely or dominated by gay people. I meant to say is that, the point of view of the author would focus more on gay people. Just as how tv series focus on straight characters' point of view because their target market are mostly straight.
I'm glad that you feel the same towards Mafuyu and Uenoyama, tho. Same feels, mate. I just want Mafuyu to sort out his feelings already. Ritsu's been showing affection and giving sacrifices already. He is also understanding on Mafuyu's situation, but if Mafuyu ain't ready to let go of Yuki then he shouldn't have made a relationship with Ue. Uenoyama deserves better than this. We all deserve and Uenoyama in our lives. LMAO.

Oh sorry for misunderstanding your point. I get what you're saying.
And honestly, yeah. I've read so many other mangas that show people moving on in a healthy way. There are times they still grieve, but they still wholeheartedly love their current lover and wouldn't do anything to replace them. But at this point, I've given up on Given cause Mafuyu ain't even trying at this point.
Please tell me I'm not the only one that doesn't get the hype of Given/doesn't think it's that good of a manga. Don't get me wrong, I understand why you would absolutely love it. However, in my opinion, there are other stories that deal with heavy subject matter better. Also, almost all male characters are gay/bi/heteroflexible to some extent which is quite unrealistic. I really want to know if I'm the only one that thinks this.
