I understand what you mean but the shonen ai “Never Understand” showed me that what’s in the inside is the only thing that matters. So if he was “ugly” (which sounds horrible to say even if he is fiction) I wouldn’t change my feelings. (I’ve read a few of manga/manwha were one at least one of character’s wasn’t exactly like most people had wanted but it shouldn’t matter)Also, don’t wanna be one of those people but he’s fiction and yet we both wrote a paragraph for what? Actually you may feel that way yourself but I know that beauty does play a major role in how you view people wether it’s in society and even worst in the case of fiction lol I’ve asked many people this including some I know and they had no shame telling me that they wouldn’t care if he wasn’t attractive. So I do think it’s important and not many people will admit that. And secondly I still believe that just because it’s in a manga,novel,movie it doesn’t matter if it’s not real you can still knowledge that’s it’s something wrong¿ if rape in reality is a horrible thing why would it be okay in a book? (Ofc that’s when there’s a difference between rape depicted as something bad, or rape as something romanticized or not taken seriously like in this one) That’s just what I stand for and due to reading many yaoi through the years that’s literally the reason I became so sensitive about it and just can’t ignore those things and pretend it’s not real so it’s okay I still ship, I just can’t
I agree with this very much and ofc rape is horrible just thinking about it doesn’t feel good. I don’t wanna get in to depth with this i just believed from what you wrote that you were acting like half the people in the comments. I will not explain what i mean because people may get pressed but, i understand exactly what your saying I feel like the author shouldn’t have added rape if she planned on making them have sex in the sequel it truly does feel off but, i’m going to enjoy the moment knowing that the latest chapter is just in the form of another world.
