that's how i felt, he brought his own misery upon himself and at the end his pride forced him to continue to hold on to his hatred. the only one desiring of pity is the grandmother.
But seriously, the grandmother pretty much F*&ked up his life. Why is it suddenly all ok that she persecuted his parents like that and NO ONE in the family stopped it from happening.
Not saying that he didn't bring things on himself. It was a pretty shoddy plan using his own body like that, but I hate that all the S*&t his parents when through gets glossed over with the whole "Oh, Grandmother was ill" thing.
I dont think it was forgotten and forgiven. It's just that even the girl wished for that old woman's peace of mind. And I think her greatest punishment was the heirless family she had right now. The end of her husband's line. The boys were all in love with their own cousins.
I hated Kaoru, all the crap he went through could have been avoided if he listened and asked some damn questions!! Seriously!!
