Pretty sure they get the engagement going as early as possible some times even as early as before children ._. those are the scary families... But they'd have them married at 12-16 depending on the era and area.
Life expectancy was also much shorter in those days so people usually married and had children before the age of 20, because you don't really expect to live past 50-60 or so...

Can you even call 10 a young woman she didn't have her period yet,10 is not even considered a preteen.
Thats why they usually die giving birth cause their not fully developed.
Uhhhhh they'll marry young but they typically don't birth preteen-young (not saying there weren't cases, just it's not the norm...).
People usually died during child birth for other reasons (like hygiene and infection), and not because of body devolopment. Even smaller bodies can give birth safely, the baby just ends up suiting the size of its mother (doctor verifiable).
In ancient times at 13 your an adult its 18 now what we know now even compared to 20 or 30 yrs ago our whom aren't stable during our teen yrs . And I don't think theres a guy in existance in any era that will wait. Back than a girls only reason for existing was to bare sons cause daughters cant inherit that was there reason for polygamy.

nyha my gynecologist & school h-ed say the same thing, that even with modern meds its still not good for teen pregnancy's not for the mom or the baby health!
