- fl one day just get convinced by the guy who saves her from the fire (he mention that the ml knows she still alive) so she just comeback
- ml marries the other girl (the princess from another country) and make her the queen. Like I said, he then "dies". But basically he hide in the fl's father's home (I think?) with a new identity, no longer a king anymore.
- the fl faint when she heard that ml "dies" and when she wakes up, he was beside her (or maybe they meet a few moment later I don't really remember)
- He propose to her under the tree where she pushed him into that river not as a king, and she accepted

THE END :)

I guess that's kinda a happy ending.
So, what happens to the princess/queen?

The app I'm reading it from cut me off after fl and ml got married and they were in that frick chamber. That could just be the end so I don't really know what happen to the princess after the ml "dies", I just know that a new king took over (idk if they had a son or maybe have a brother to replace him, they just write "new king")

The ml makes the other girl his queen so he can "die" and go to the fl. The other girl I think become the queen dowager (I'm not so sure because after he "dies", the story doesn't focus on her at all)
And I think (?) he is still a virgin since the fl (before the fire) likes to gate keep him. I don't remember the story saying he has a son or anything so yeah. I'm not so sure tho

Also, no, he doesn't love the other girls. He loves the fl from the beginning

No Eon, the emperor didn't make no one the empress or the queen. When he finds out Li is alive he fakes his death with his brother help who he named crown prince before so his brother becomes the emperor and Eon reunite with Li. He never marry Youyou, or make her his woman or made her the queen. After the news that Li died and he cried for her saying she was the only empress for him and the love of his life the other woman heard that and asked him for his mother bracelet(which represent his heart or his feelings) but he said to her that it wasn't for her, so either the empress position wasn't for her so she asked him to allow her to leave the palace so she was the one to cancel their wedding, a day early from the celebration.

They had 2 children, an older girl and a younger boy. And just in case I'm wrong again (cause I'm very much confuse on how rich Chinese people from the middle age work), this is what I got reading the final chap. The ml's brother, now the king, want the fl and ml's eldest daughter to be the next queen, marrying his son... so he basically want her to marry her own cousin. Ew <3

yes, that is correct Ye-On the older brother of current emperor, Eon who is going to become the emperor. He wants to take So-Hee/Sohee who is the older daughter of Li and Eon to enter her in a royal family so later he can make her the crown prince future empress. So, the novel ended with the death of Li set up on fire and emperor follow after her, he died regretting everything and missing her (Li) but then the author wrote an open-ending epilogue where Li didn't die and Eon gave up his emperor sit to be with the love of his life who was her from the very beginning. This webtoons series follow their story after that and to us, readers gave us an open-ending epilogue where So-Hee/Sohee their oldest daughter becomes the empress in the future who will then be the shield to protect her household.
