i didn't think i would like it that much, but here im. i saw a lot of comments saying that it was toxic, bad, unhealthy and all that. but it was actually really nice. two people with their own problems trying their best in a relationship. it was good and exciting to read. cole had a lot of problems, depression was really evident. he has low self-esteem and keeps being sure he's not good enough. in contrast to that, alex is perfect in everything. that's a hell of a combination. i absolutely loved how the author developed the story. i don't know if there's another volume after this one, but im glad that even in the end they are still in the middle of the road. the arc with brad was amazingly done. because he's nice and honest, but it's not all perfect, i completely understand cole thinking he could finally be normal with someone. brad made him feel good in everyday life moments, they had similar tastes so they could talk about a lot of things. the author made a real and common situation there. when you feel better with someone that isn't your partner, so you just keep thinking "should i break up?" this author usually have great plots, to be honest. they make little details that will give so much life to story. i absolutely loved this.
