Okay, so the author reimagined "Host" in a seinen style, but it really wasn't my cup of tea. I really disliked the emphasis on objectifying the women characters in this one, and the whole "I will be the best ever host" really detracted from the poignant deep love series original plot. Had to drop it after the first few chapters, Seinen is usually good and realistic but they are all so pretentious and the shoujo version was better.
Maybe if it were a stand alone manga it could have been considered in it's own right to better reviews, but nope, just not engaging enough.
