Which is probably what happened. Given athanasia and claude's tendency to be super stubborn and a little vicious, the guy would have trained suoer hard JUST to prove him wrong. I actually hope that's the case. Because, the poor guy looked so sad..I just wanted to hug him and say that he's allright.
