You're free to feel weirded out since it's your opinion but it gets tiring to hear about it every now and again. o: I'm not saying this to be mean and I mean this seriously-- I suggest emailing the author about it. If you have the cash, a translator can help you with writing a proper complaint. Although I can't guarantee a good response... I remember a feminist who sent a complaint on twitter to a hentai artist about how train molestation is wrong etc but got laughed at by the readers. They did get an earnest response from the artist but it was out of politeness lol.

As long as people show interest in it, it’ll always be around. And age gaps have been around so long and are so popular because so many people enjoy it. If there’s a demand, they’ll always be supply. Get over it

at the end of day i understand that people like different things. it’s not like i’m saying this is disgusting (would be different if it was a young child & adult), it’s just as i myself am getting older i begin to find it odd. it’s a complex matter in the world of fiction and i’m sure always will be. thanks for being respectful in your reply though!! i know it’s probably tiring to hear, but there’s also ppl that are tired of this trope i suppose. i used to enjoy and it’s still something i can look past for the sake of beautiful art & a good plot. i just wanted to express my opinion bc like,,, this is a forum for talking lol

No prob. Honestly, it was the opposite for me. xD I used to care a lot about age gaps when I was in high school/college but I started to separate fiction from reality since it lessened my wrinkles. Caring so much about ‘problematic tropes’ just made my reading list smaller and frustrations bigger. In the end, I know where my morals lie in real life.
