the brothers are literally the fucking worst. Especially Derrick, he tries to victim blame Penelope after she commits suicide. He also falls in love with her but his love is possessive and controlling (like a bird trapped in a cage). Was glad to see him in that fucking sorry state at the end.

She does attempt suicide; due to her losing hope when the heroine (evil brainwashing bitch) is revealed to the public and all attempts to get someone fail (basically none of the ML at that moment we’re truly in love with her [prince asked her if they can just stay as partners, the brothers made it clear they only like Yvonne, Vinter never fully trusted her, and the slave baby betrays her])
But she survives when Vinter gives her the antidote; it would a rather painful death too. She would of bled to death. But she survives (●'◡'●)ﾉ
