Just a theory. At the start she found herself somewhere she don't know and lost her memory. Maybe she's is the princess currently just that someone made her lost her memory and dressed her as a guy with black hair for some ulterior motive to get to rid of her without suspicion and they might have also did something to the commander as well, like alter his memory?
Or maybe the actual princess died and the MC ends up in her body lol thats why she got the mannerism similar to the dead princess???

If there's a plot twist that she's not the princes I will be like (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ but honestly it's all so confusing I mean lots of signs point to her being the princess the eyes, the mannerisms, the name, the hair at the beginning be mentioned can change color when washed with beer, and the one time he thought it was her, but at the same time how could you not recognize the face features or the voice? How does the commander who loved the princess look at her and not recognize her except for the drugged thing??? Also the princess is apparently in a coma but we haven't seen her so I guess that could be a lie and she's missing. But I guess I did see some of your theories that she was the princess in her past life so basically two of MC exist in the current timeline which woah trippy and would make things make some more sense but lol if that's true then I wonder all this will play out...
