(if you were just joking just assume my brain wasn't able to process jokes,cause it's dumb).Nope, Alphonse just is "new" to affection and genuineness but Chloe is used to it,so Al is "more desperate" than her. Like a child,he wants her to himself while she has more experience (certainly more than him at least) so she's showing more maturity. As we've seen it, she blushes turning into a tomato,and she's more than enough concious of him. They're in love,even my emotionally oblivious brain can tell that.
