Actually, in this particular case, I believe this one was instigated by the green eyed girl as a plot to brake them up(because, *sigh* that's how these stories go) but it definitely does not excuse her actions.

I don't think it was cuz he liked her, I think it resulted from her basically taking her frustration out on her and other people. There is an element of jealous (over grades) in one of the early chapters. The frustration was caused by the moms abusive controlling tendencies.

It doesn't justify what she did. I agree with you on that but she is actively changing her ways. She wouldn't do that if she agreed with her past actions. She could have done what she did in the past, but this time without making the mistake of letting him catch her in the act.
