Normally I'd agree with you, but actually although the premise of this novel is TOTALLY cliche and hits all the usual tropes like you said, this is the first time I've ever seen it executed well!
The ML IS an arrogant CEO, but he is never CEO ML is arrogant, but he never once acts disrespectfully or abusively towards the FL. He's civil to her from the very beginning. There are a few times he's rude to her, but that's AFTER he finds out that her father is the man responsible for his wife's death. Even then, he's only cold to the FL and he even stops his brother-in-law from going after the FL and defends her saying that it's not fair to blame her for her father's actions. This is all BEFORE he falls in love with her, so it's not like he "forgives" her because of his feelings. He's just genuinely a fair, reasonable, and decent guy.
I usually LOATHE these types of stories, but this one is actually really really good for it's genre and the characters are genuinely likable and reasonable people. Even the "female rival" isn't a one dimensional character and although she and the FL don't end up as friends and she still dislikes the FL, she does end up respecting the FL and moving on after accepting that she can't force the ML to love her.
I recommend it.
i dont even have to read the manga to know what this manga is about. this is, yet again, a 200+ chapter manga where the female lead meets a rude successful male lead who then proceeds to get closer to the female lead because of his child who seems emotionally attached to the female lead. god, there’s so many similar mangas like this, im sick of it ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
