Damn every time I think a character might be ace, I end up disappointed

you just cant go into a yaoi thinking that the mc is ace, theyre gonna have some sort of allo-queer awakening lol
if anything youll get ultra lucky with a side character, or find an ace mc in a shounen ai one

Yea I never go into a story thinking a character is gonna be ace (I would go insane if that was the case), but when they explicitly say they don't desire sex I can't help but get my hopes up. Plus people can be in a sexual relationship and still be ace.

Yep, exactly! I got lowkey catfished into reading this one fic cuz the first three chaps were titled "asexual" and i was like ace rep????? but no. And true that, same thing with aros in romantic relationships.

I wanna see more aro characters ;w; I cri for the lack of rep in literally anything. It would make life so much easier if being aro-spec was more widely known about/accepted
