So what I remember from other comments paulina gets drunk and ends up sleeping with the king. Their relationship develops but he ends up taking her in as a concubine rather than a wife. He actually marries a different woman as his queen. Like I get that back then this kinda stuff was normal for kings but if that's the case I'd rather her marry someone who wouldn't need concubines *cough* donau *cough*
