Hyesung was never the smartest cookie (apart from maths) plus he's had years of feeling inferior because he's just a "lowly omega"; of course he's insecure, and most likely afraid that maybe he somehow fucked Byul up and that's why the kid is "slow". I'm frustrated that he's not communicating with his husband, but deep seated insecurity that Hyesung has doesn't just magically go away.
