He might have used a fake id. I had friends in high school who used them to get into clubs. I never went with them so I don't know what they got away with.
It's still fucked up that Japan has such a low age of consent.
Oh yeah that's true. Yeah I knew people who'd do that (one guy's parent even helped lol). Got wasted every weekend.
And yeah, I hear it's higher by province I think, but the overall age still needs to be raised. There's not a lot of justice for rape victims there and having a low age of consent makes it easier for rapists to get away with it :/
btw I think it's the same on the us too, I hear there's some states that have age of consent as 12 or 13 or something.
What's worse is that it's because we have no minimum age for marriage. You could get married at 10 if your parents approve, but you can't get a divorce until you're 18 or 21!

Yeah that's crazy. I remember a while back there was that actress or something, 16 y.o. girl whose parents gave their consent for her to marry a 50+ y.o. guy.
I also hate that the constitutional right that was made to legalize same-sex marriage can and is being used to justify pedophilia and incest!
It isn’t practically like that though!!! The effective age of consent (like through different prefecture laws) is around 18 (16 at the least). The marriage thing is true, but I believe child marriages aren’t that common (hopefully)

I guess it makes more sense why his dad and friends were said about him going all the way to Tokyo, feel like if it's college it makes sense given the (probable) lack of options into he countryside...
