The author, Kuji Mitsuhisa, is the former assistant of Miura Kentaro, author of Berserk.
That explains everything O_O
Kuji Mitsuhisa is also a woman which is surprising. She seems to really like medieval gore, since she was an assistant of Kentaro Miura so that explains it...
She's also mysterious...
I remember coming across this at my local library back in Washington state, and I gotta say, they don't hold back on the gruesomeness of war and how almost anyone can die in every chapter, whether it was someone that you got attached to or someone that you just wanna see suffer. It kinda reminds me of either Berserk or Game of Thrones. Or both.
